The Jumbo Airplane Puzzle is a Kumiki style puzzle dating to the 1930's. The pattern can be found in Jerry Slocum's "New Book of Puzzles". It is moderate degree of difficulty puzzle that has the added pleasure of being tricky to take apart as well as to put together. Although this typically made for adults that love airplanes,  for a child it might double as a toy as it will stay together nicely and is quite durable. The wheels and propeller turn. There are 11 pieces when you get it apart. A secret locking pin holds everything in place until it is turned. As a puzzle, it is moderately difficult, recommended for ages 10+.
