The Kimono was quite puzzling! But a fascinating picture and very glad when I was done.
A great puzzle! The model was Monet's wife Camille, the mother of his two sons. She died when she was 32 from TB. In the picture, he had her wear a blonde wig to emphasize her Westernness because he was making fun of the then craze in Paris for all things Japanese. I thought the background might be boring, but it's not because of the way he varied the colors so subtly.
