Sky Dance - Inukshuk Cultural Art Round Jigsaw Puzzle By Indigenous Collection

The centre of the art piece depicts the Rasleela, where the Gopikas (cow-herd girls) are shown mesmerized and enchanted by Krishna with a series of panels depicting other stories.

Various events from the very interesting life of Lord Krishna are depicted in this art piece. Krishna was born to Devaki and Vasudeva, in a prison, in Mathura. Knowing the prophecy that Devaki’s child would slay him, the king of Mathura, Kamsa sought to kill every child born to his sister Devaki. Vasudeva managed to slip Krishna to the safety of Vrindavan, where he was raised by Yashoda. Krishna’s boyhood was periodically interrupted by attempts on his life, by demons in various forms. He successfully defeated the demons, always.

This puzzle is a pleasure to work. The colors are bright, and the finish is shiny. It is a relaxing puzzle to work. For me, it is difficult enough to be interesting, but not so hard that it gives me a headache.

One of the most beautiful puzzles I have done. Although Not a Hindu, and not knowing the stories behind the pictures, I was fascinated by the colors and pictures and wished I could find a book of the short stories on each scene. Others will certainly enjoy doing this lovely pictures.
