As I’ve said before, I really like collage puzzles. Maybe I’m just lazy, but to focus on 50 plus pieces of a cupcake, tea cup, or stamp rather than all 1000 pieces of the puzzle makes it so much easier. Then when I have enough of those items assembled and can put them together, along with the border, I feel like I’ve really accomplished something. I’m on my way! CONTINUE READING

Hello puzzlers! This is my very first blog post and I’m so excited to be able to combine two passions of mine this time, knitting and puzzling! Today, I’m writing about the 1000-piece puzzle, ‘All You Knit is Love’.This puzzle is produced by Eurographics, a privately owned company based in Montreal, Canada. Pickup that paint brush, knitting needle, or piece of paper - We’re getting Crafty!!!

March is National Craft month, a celebration of all things creative, from the first spark of inspiration or the final draft. Splatter, cut, splice, and piece your way to an artful existence. The greatest part about crafting is, you do not need to be a professional artist, you can be professional you. Have fun reinventing that picture frame, or making a scarf that started as a sweater, whatever way the wind blows the breeze through your trees. CONTINUE READING

I started my obsession with puzzling a year ago and during that brief period, I have amassed quite a large collection of puzzles.  This led to my husband puzzling as well.  No, not over a jigsaw, but over my continued purchasing!  Why so many?  Well, we’ll address that in a future blog (once I figure it out myself), but he was right in one respect.  I should not have purchased so many so quickly.  What happened is I committed the rookie move of purchasing puzzles solely on the image.  I didn’t realize that the make of the puzzle mattered just as much, if not more! Is there anything better than puzzles and books? Maybe add a cup of coffee to the mix and it is my ideal way to spend a quiet day. I love listening to audiobooks while I put a puzzle together (pro tip: check your local public library to borrow audiobooks for free). What makes that even better is when the puzzle itself features books. I just finished my very first shaped Galison puzzle. I’ve done many Galison puzzles, but never a shaped one. Given my love for puzzles and books, there’s no shaped Galison more perfect for me than Blooming BooksCONTINUE READING

In an attempt to answer this age-old question, to puzzle with or without the image, I have offered up my worlds okayest puzzling abilities (coined by @22pieces- check her out on Instagram, she’s awesome!) for this very controversial topic. Now, I know most people have unshakable ideas about this question, so ‘put your dukes up, Beesly’, bc we’re going to delve deep. Are you ready? CONTINUE READING
