In the words of the great Meghan Trainor ‘You might have a mom, she might be the bomb, but ain’t nobody got a mom like mine. Her love’s till the end, she’s my best friend, ain't nobody got a mom like mine’....CONTINUE READING

It’s April Fool’s Day! I’ll tell you about all the times I was fooled by a puzzle!
Puzzle Twist puzzles are designed to enhance the puzzle experience. The image is slightly different from the box, so there’s a surprise every time! I know some people really like to rely on the box image while solving, but I encourage everyone to think “outside the box” (pun intended) and try something new!...CONTINUE READING

Howdy, puzzlers! Here we are in March already if you can believe it. The days are getting longer, the weather is warming up, and here in New York City, we’re gearing up for another season of outdoor dining, city strolls, and spring flowers...CONTINUE READING

Respect Your Cat Day is on March 28th! Yeah, that’s right, it’s actually a thing AND an important one, if I do say so myself. In honor of all those feline lovers out there (me included), this blog will consist completely of Puzzle Warehouse’s most adorable cat inspired puzzles. What can I say, they’re the cat’s meow...CONTINUE READING

I grew up in the 1970s.
There was a lot going on in those years, though much of it wasn’t something a schoolkid followed too closely. Here in the U.S. the news was about Vietnam, Richard Nixon, Civil Rights, and an energy crisis. To take our minds off politics we had TV shows like “Welcome Back, Kotter,” “The Love Boat,” “Three’s Company,” and many others that are still talked about today. At the movies there was “Jaws,” “The Godfather,” “Grease,” “Star Wars” and, one of my favorites, “Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”...CONTINUE READING

It’s March, which means the wood frogs have been coming out to breed in the US! There’s nothing quite like strolling by a pond and hearing a chorus of calling frogs. March 20th is also World Frog Day, which makes it the perfect time to celebrate these amphibians in puzzle form!
I started my froggy celebration with this amazing puzzle titled Love Me! with art by Andrea Marquis in 1000 pieces from JaCaRou Puzzles. Just look at those colors!...CONTINUE READING

“It’s about time!” That’s what I said when I first found out that Puzzle Warehouse was going to start selling a selection of Magnolia Puzzles. I have been a fan girl for this brand since their very first collection in 2020. At the time you could only buy them from Turkey and it took several weeks to get to my home. Now, they are much easier to get in the states and I’m so excited to see them expand and get a larger following. Before you get all excited and head over to the brand’s page, just know that they are a sought-after brand. Puzzle Warehouse currently has 25 of their images, but it’s been hard to keep them in stock. However, I wanted to make this blog post in case you have been curious about the brand and want to know whether they are worth the wait...CONTINUE READING

Heye puzzles are great puzzles. My Heye puzzle collection is growing faster than I can possibly puzzle, because I just can’t stop falling in love with all the gorgeous images they choose to print. I think they do a phenomenal job picking artists to represent their brand- ranging from colorful and modern, to dark and vampy, to adorable monsters living their best lives, to cartooney shenanigans. Heye is one of my favorite brands because of the sheer range of images they have available. And just when I didn’t think I could love them anymore, I stumbled onto something called their To Be Continued Series...CONTINUE READING

The Academy Awards airs on March 10th and it’s hard to believe when the first one took place in 1929 with 270 people in attendance, it lasted for only 15 minutes! They run a tad longer now, but thankfully, the Academy instituted a 45-second acceptance speech rule after the 2002 ceremony ran for a whopping 4 hours and 23 minutes. Still, I suspect there will be plenty of time to do a puzzle (or two) as you watch and here are some nominations for ones you may want to choose from!...CONTINUE READING
