Beautiful subject, but the linen textured paper over the whole puzzle obscured much of the detail. The tiny lines all over the puzzle pieces made it especially frustrating to match pieces to the poster.
Beautiful Cobble Hill item.Yes, it has many dark colors. I like using a lighted magnifying glass for puzzles like this. It is certainly possible to do and the finished puzzle is stunning. Everyone says it looks like a real cat sitting there, it is that dimensional. A keeper and so much fun.
Who doesn't love a kitty in the library!!
Cool puzzle and beautiful picture. Reminded of a previous pet from my childhood. Love those beautiful eyes.
One of my favorites. A fun puzzle and very pretty. The cat and some of the books were quite challenging.
The cat was especially challenging as were some of the books. We love both cats and books so this was enjoyable.
One of my all time favorites!
Love this as a family. When you get to the black car. Nerve wrecking. But. So rewarding
Bought it for my sister & brother-in-law who have been locked down in Canada forever. They have spent the last year doing puzzles. They received it and they love it. The cat looks just like my cat.
Beautiful puzzle once finished. As I have said in other reviews, I do not refer to the box art when doing jigsaw puzzles. Using this method, this puzzle took me five days, working on it regularly.
It was the most difficult to put together of the ones I bought. A challenge for sure, mostly because of the shiny finish on the surface of each piece. It made it difficult to determine what color a good number of the pieces were. Again I was doubtful about having enough pieces to complete it but they were all there. Your puzzles were a much better quality than others I bought which were damaged with bent tabs when they arrived. Cobble Hill puzzle pieces were very stiff and not easy to bend. None of them were damaged when they arrived.
Most of the puzzle (like everything except the cat) is pretty straight forward to put together. However, the cat was difficult - much more than we expected. My mom was getting pretty frustrated with the cat. Even the edge of the cat was more difficult than expected. She finally gave up and let me finish him. Once I got my method down, it was slow going but a reasonable challenge. I did leave the last piece for her .... well, because she's my mom! ;-)
The books took forever, as did the black on the cat. Very pretty when done
Love this moody picture of “my” Smokey-Cat from childhood. A great and cozy puzzle for winter-puzzling that combines “my” kitty with books, another great love. Love Cobble Hill.
Loved this one! I have a black cat so this one is special.
Thick sturdy pieces that click together well. A ton of chase variety. Pieces are dark so you need good lighting. With too-direct lighting the pieces are reflective and hard to see detail. That being said, the puzzle is extremely satisfying, not frustratingly challenging. Absolutely would buy again.
I like this puzzle a lot. The cat section was the hardest and made it fun!
Love the puzzle! Very fast shipping!
The colors are beautiful, very challenging. Which we like!! The only thing I would have complain about is that few of the puzzle pieces were a little banged up when we open the package. The family is enjoying putting this one together.
Due to the quarantine restrictions, I decided to Purchase two puzzles to have something new to do. These puzzles were excellent quality, very challenging, and hard to stop putting together. They are so beautiful that once completed I decided to glued them to a board to hang in our office! Highly recommend!
This puzzled combines two of my favorite things: books and cats. The books were easier to assemble. The cat was harder. (Isn't the expression on the cat's face priceless!) My only disappointment was the realization upon completion that I had thrown out one piece in the cellophane packaging. Check the pouch thoroughly before discarding.
Great and challenging puzzle with a great quality picture!
I consider this a medium level but the cat was hard to put together. I did like passing my time doing this with everything being closed and staying home. I love cats and it reminded me of my son's cat. Stay safe out there!
Fun to build. The cat itself will offer a challenge.
Extra challenging due to the repetitive dark colors in this puzzle, made this puzzle last a good amount of time.
Very hard but fun to do if you are a Dickens fan, a Librarian, a book lover, and/or a cat fan.Hours of joy finding the book titles.
I loved putting this puzzle together, I have a black cat that looks just like this one. The books were also fun to do as I am a fan of Charles Dickens. I was challenging at times, but I felt such excitement as I worked through the puzzle, I liked that the pieces stayed together as I moved them around because I worked in sections. It took a week to finish and I have received many compliments on my now framed puzzle.
I love the puzzle, but the poster that came with it is a different picture. The poster that was included is called " The Witching Hour " . I love it but it doesn't help me with the puzzle I ordered. I would love to either get the poster for my puzzle OR get the puzzle for my poster!
I like cats and books
Great fun!
Great puzzle!
