Michigan has had three capitol buildings. The present one was designed in 1872, with construction beginning the following year. Elijah E. Myers, a premier government building architect of the time designed the building. The capitol was finished in 1878 and dedicated on January 1, 1879. This puzzle shows the beautiful work that covers the inside of the dome.
