A.J. Casson (Canadian, 1898–1992) Old Store at Salem, 1931 A. J. Casson was invited to join the Group of Seven painters in 1926. He accepted, becoming the youngest member, and established his own voice within the Group by choosing small towns and rural settings as subjects for his paintings. The roiling, purplish sky in this painting contrasts with the stillness of the street and storefront—which is probably closed for business as dusk approaches.
Thoughtfully conceived and engagingly intricate, Pomegranate's interlocking jigsaw puzzles combine superb color reproduction, stunning and unusual images, and heirloom-quality construction to delight generations of puzzle solvers.

harder than I thought it would be
I enjoyed putting this puzzle together.
This puzzle was very difficult for me, perhaps because the winter lighting in my house is not good. I think if I'd worked this puzzle in summer with natural rather than artificial lighting, it would not have been so difficult. The finished puzzle is beautiful.
It's a beautiful painting, but the reproduction for the puzzle is a little soft compared to the picture on the box. The colors in some areas are not as distinct as they should be. Still, I'm very happy I bought it.
Will order again from here in the future.
Very engaging and rewarding. Those roads were tough!
Not a lot of color variation so it was a challenge!
This is the most challenging puzzle I've ever encountered. But, I also enjoyed it and was glad for the challenge. My neighbor found it equally challenging.
Really engaging puzzle. Good quality
another great pomegranate puzzle excellant quality and a great image
Great job Puzzle Warehouse. Love your products. Excellent service!
The whites are hard but a rewarding puzzle
Pomegranate Puzzles is my favorite brand. The pieces just feel good in your hand. Fit together nicely and when you’re done you have a work of art!
Loved this puzzle--difficult enough to keep me challenged, with the end resulting in a lovely picture. My husband and I are into model trains. I plan to build an S scale model of this old store.
