The Rolling Stones - Jigsaw Puzzle
Is there anyone who has never heard of the Rolling Stones? This rock band has existed since the 60’s, has produced some of the best songs of the century and is still somewhat active today. Mick Jagger’s voice and lyrics inspired millions of people and continues to do so throughout the world. What’s the connection between the Rolling Stones and a jigsaw puzzle, one might ask? Or is there such a connection? Of course there is! The band has a song named Jigsaw puzzle, from their 1968 album, Beggars Banquet.; and a really good song, to be honest with you, from a really good album. Jigsaw Puzzle shares the album with a huge hit, Sympathy for the Devil, and another well-known song, Street Fighting Man. Although Jigsaw Puzzle never knew the success of the other two, it is considered by many to be a great song, similar to the work of Bob Dylan, especially due to the nature of the lyrics. Mick Jagger is the one responsible for those, and he managed to depict some amazing stories, even though the interpretations concerning the meaning of the lyrics are anything but convergent. We can say that the song is about someone trying to "do his simple thing" in a world full of madness and chaos. A man is just trying to assemble a jigsaw puzzle, while everyone around him seems to be out of time and out of place, and he finds it hard to concentrate with everything that’s going on around. An attempt to live a simple life and to find one’s way in this world, without being corrupted by society. But that’s just one version of the meaning, and you might find another one while you listen to it. Especially if you listen while assembling a puzzle for yourself from our enormous collection. Puzzle Warehouse does not have an actual Rolling Stones jigsaw puzzle in stock at the writing of this article, but if you think we should, please leave a comment!
