Trash is all around us, in places we never intended—beaches, roadsides, and the natural spaces between and beyond. Barry Rosenthal collects these errant discarded remnants of our lives, amasses them into themes, and then turns them into environmentally minded fine art. For The Grid, he edited his collection of beach trash to a specific color palette and created an organized visual structure. Temporarily useful to the people they once served, objects such as these remain in the environment for years, to its great and lasting detriment.
Rosenthal, a fine art photographer, is also an urban archaeologist and sculptor. At the intersection of these fields is his Found in Nature series, which includes The Grid.

This was a very fun puzzle to build. The black background and the different textures provided a nice challenge.
This puzzle was difficult due mainly to the number of either nearly or totally black pieces, and the fact that so many pieces were a close match, but the satisfaction on completion was that much greater. The concept is very interesting, and you certainly end by appreciating the subtleties of seemingly just a few colors!
Single color back ground makes completion dependent of often fine lines from individual tools. Interesting collection of items
I love these " Fine Art puzzles" .. Very sophisticated image.. perfect for the art snob in your life. Stimulated those neural pathways... helps you concentrate on shape and texture. took a while to put together..
