The Stars

The pieces are thin and do not snap together, nor even hold together when you try to move two or more at once. Similar shapes mean too many pieces fit into multiple places. To much of the puzzle, while not exactly black, is such finely shaded versions of black that even in a strongest light it's hard to see any gradations. Only a few pieces have distinctive shoulders and/or heads. The only thing that kept us going was sheer determination because we liked the picture and once glued together, it looks good, but it took 3 weeks longer than other puzzles of similar size and required magnifying glasses and spotlights to locate fine gradations of color.
