Artist Mike Wilks has a challenge for you: “Try to spot an amputee (he is also an athlete although not animate), an abbey, an apricot, an atlas (naming the oceans and continents that you find there), an artilleryman and his ammunition, an aardvark, an autogyro (why should it be upside down?), an ark full of animals, an aerial paled by the distance, and the Egyptian god Anubis and a close colleague.” The list goes on, with a total of 361 items to discover as you puzzle.
From the best-selling book The Ultimate Alphabet (released by Pomegranate in 2015 as The Ultimate Alphabet: Complete Edition), The Letter A is the beginning of an alphabet adventure. Can you find all of the A words depicted here? If not, check out the list and key included inside.
Great puzzle. Nice quality, fit, and dust free. A little harder than i thought at first glance but really a fun puzzle.
The puzzle was made well and the colors were vivid. We loved the idea of a puzzle featuring the letter A. The puzzle comes with a full size map with each item numbered and once the locate the item, it gives you the A name for that item. Truly a different way to look at a puzzle.
It turned out to be easier than you may think at first, but was still very interesting. I also enjoyed searching for all the "A" images, and learned lots of new (unusual) words when going through the key which is included.
My favorite puzzle of all time! Every inch of this has something interesting to explore!
Fun puzzle to put together. High quality pieces that fit together well.
This was a great puzzle to do. Although the arch is a little difficult, it was fun to follow the rest and put it together. Especially fun was trying to name all the "A" items in the puzzle and then compare it to the list provided with the puzzle. This one was really great.
This is my fav puzzle brand (wonderful quality pieces that lock well), and I really enjoy this series (I have done all the currently available letters). I keep hoping that Pomegranate will option more of Wilks art and that more letters will find their way to my puzzle collection soon.
