Boo! It's Halloween!
It’s here! It’s finally here! Spooky season has arrived and I could not be more excited! Halloween is a jumble of emotions for me. It terrifies me, and I hate all things scary… yet I wait for it with pure excitement every year. I don’t like dressing up, but I LOVE seeing everyone's costumes and I even help with makeup and with costume ideas… but I don’t partake in dressing up. I love trick or treating, but I don’t want to eat the candy. Ok, maybe that part isn’t true - give me ALL the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Snickers bars please! I did start loving Halloween a bit more and engaged in the decorating and festivities when I had kids. Kids have a way of making things so much more special and magical. So now, Halloween is something I look forward to every single year.
Can you guess what else I love doing with my kids during Halloween? You guessed it! Halloween puzzles! Boy oh boy, do brands and artists go all out with their Halloween images. They range from horror to fun from cute to terrifying... and they even make glow in the dark ones. I will take you on a Halloween journey of some of my favorite puzzles I did for this blog and past Halloweens. Starting off with my favorite style of puzzle; Family Pieces. Cobble Hill is one of the few brands (and one of my favorites!) that does the family style puzzle with 3 different piece sizes so all ages can enjoy putting it together. It’s such a fun and less intimidating way to puzzle with the whole family!
This image is aptly named Haunted House and it is absolutely adorable! Nothing about these 350 pieces was haunting, just pure cuteness. Look at those facial expressions! I just can’t stand how much I loved this puzzle. It was the perfect amount of spooky, adorable, and all things Halloween.
Next up we have a super spooky 500 piece New York Puzzle Company puzzle named The Dogs of Halloween. Look at that doggie… could he BE any spookier?! He’s a ghostie! I had SO much fun with this puzzle. I loved the vintage vibe the colors gave. The colors were muted and it gave the puzzle a special feeling. If you look at it closely you’ll see so many details like witches' socks, different doggies in costumes, black cat, pumpkins, Jack-O-Lanterns, and my absolute favorite of all things… a full moon. This was truly a special and fun puzzle to put together.
Ok, now, check out this Halloween Terrors 500 piece puzzle by Masterpieces. It is a special kind of special. It has everything you want in a puzzle - gradient style colors, manageable piece count, all the Halloween vibes, awesome quality, and a full moon of course.
Ok, BUT! Hold on to your costumes! I didn’t even tell you the best part of this Masterpieces puzzle… It glows in the dark! Masterpieces is one of the brands that does glow in the dark puzzles SO absolutely well that I judge all other puzzle brands to Masterpieces. It is SO bright!
Best part? This image comes in two different piece counts - 100 pieces if you’re into minis and 500 if you want it to last a bit longer. I say get both!
As always I can’t end my blog without sharing a mini. Bonus points when it's a Snoopy mini! This cutie by Roseart is called Peanuts Halloween and its 100 pieces of non-scary only adorable Snoopy. I do this mini every Halloween. I call it my tradition puzzle because no holiday can pass without Snoopy being a part of it. It’s like a must!
I love this time of year SO much. Once September rolls around, I can’t contain my excitement. I just love the holiday season and it makes me so sad that it ends so quickly. There is literally a puzzle for everything and Halloween puzzles are plenty. There are so many images by so many brands and artists in a variety of styles and piece counts. It’s the hardest trying to pick what puzzle to do next because I want to do them all!
Stop over at the good ol’ PuzzleWarehouse and find yourself a Halloween puzzle (or 10) to do this October. There are so many options from various brands to choose from. There's something for everyone. But don’t forget to share your choices with me! And while you’re at it, if you feel like doing so, share your favorite Halloween traditions, favorite memories, and maybe even costumes you’ve worn in past years. Share it all with me in the comments. I love hearing from you all!
Happy Spooky Puzzling Season to you all!

Love the Halloween puzzles you picked out. Being on a fixed income I hope to find them on sale sometime after the holiday and I will set them aside until next year. Well that’s the plan anyway😉
Love this! A scardy cat that loves halloween! Peanuts are my favorite, but the first one is so cool! Happy Halloween everyone!
