Happy Lovers by Jean-Honore Fragonard is originally an oil on canvas painting from 1732 era. A young couple enjoys themselves in a secluded rustic retreat. The pretty young girl plays the temptress to the boy who is the willing object of her affection. Above his head, she dangles a bird cage, with its door already ajar. As a symbol both moralizing and erotic, its implications for the dalliance between the young couple would have been easily recognizable to its eighteenth century audience.

I did this build after completing a difficult puzzle thinking I would take on an average one. WRONG. started with sky and went fairly well on left edge to greenery then kinda stumped. Moved on to the lovers and found them reasonable but not super easy. Then I was able to get sky over lovers and was left with all the garden stuff. This is where most of my rating came. I had 10 or 12 times where I thougt I was right but after trying every remaining piece with no fits I discovered placement errors to solve issue. Usually I do edge inward but on this one right side edge was only solvable when all center pieces were found. Made for a longer than average build, but I do love a good challenge and this was that.
