Can you solve both challenges?

There are eight double-sided dominoes laser-cut and engraved from 1/4” thick Maple.  One side has a natural maple finish and the other side a blue lacquer finish.
Challenge 1: Arrange the 8 pieces (blue side up) in such a way that all pips (dots) in each row and column add up to the same number.

Challenge 2 - More difficult: Arrange the 8 pieces (wood side up) in such a way that all pips in each row and column add up to the same number. This will be a different number than the blue side.

Attractive wooden cover included. The puzzle, including the cover, measures about 7" x 7". This is an excellent puzzle for a coffee table as it easily contained and fun for all to try to solve.
