Love Hawk is a FAMILY, living a life of CREATIVITY. Together, they create art.

We (the Hale family) live nearby Tallassee Shoals on the Oconee River in what is currently known as Athens, Georgia. We take the River with us wherever we go, and so too does the River take us with it wherever it goes as well. The River keeps us and we are keepers of the River. This artwork "River Keepers" (gouache, watercolor, and graphite, on clayboard, 19.25” x 26.625”, 2019) is a way to acknowledge that giving - and to share what we carry with others.

Illustrator, artist, and tattooist David Hale along with Emily, Crow and their new baby Autumn spend almost all their time together, continually finding new sources of inspiration and creativity. While David does the majority of the hands-on process of making the art, every member of the family plays a role in the act of creating together.
