Charley Harper (1922–2007) has delighted art and animal lovers with his engaging paintings for more than sixty years. His distinctive use of simple shapes, geometric patterns, and vivid colors—a style he defined as “minimal realism”—succinctly captured the essence of each creature he portrayed. Harper’s posters have been published by more than fifty nature- and conservation-oriented organizations. The Alpine Northwest is one of ten posters he was commissioned to create for the National Park Service. The bald eagle and other plants and animals are inhabitants of Olympic, Mount Rainier, and North Cascades National Parks. This ingenious composition positions wildlife and plantlife against a dizzying, snowcovered slope, and perfectly captures the region’s geography in characteristic Harper style.

Another Charlie Harper winner!
Gorgeous NW painting turned puzzle. If you live in PNW you will appreciate the flora and fauna of this puzzle. We may frame this one for our PNW cabin in the cascade mountains.
It doesn't seem from the picture that there is a lot of white, but when you're putting this together there is A LOT of white that doesn't touch another color. Solving it just took time in putting pieces up against each other until they fit. Still enjoyed it-- it was like taking a nice hike and needing to take a steep walk uphill at the end to get home. Graphics are crisp; I don't think there was a lot of variation in the puzzle cuts but it was still good.
Having been away from puzzles for a long time, this was a fun project. Nice, crisp colors--all around good quality pieces; even the box was top notch.
As a wintertime (and quarantined coronavirus) puzzle family, this Charlie Harper jigsaw delighted us more than any puzzle we have ever put together. Not only is the quality beyond superb, the image was gentle, sweet--a reminder of all that is good in our natural world. Working together, we were able to focus, smile and experience a positive, collective purpose during a most challenging time in life--so needed. What is that amazing finish on the puzzle pieces? We will search for that, again. Bravo!
Charley Harper puzzles are the best
My first pomegranate puzzle, but it won't be the last!
another great harper puzzle
Loved this puzzle (and this company). The pieces are thick and well-fitting with a very nice matte finish that reduces glare. There are little animal surprises tucked away in certain parts. And the clean lines of style makes the puzzle more challenging (but not too challenging). There were fewer white pieces than I thought there would be. It's well-designed.
We're just starting this puzzle and it's a little harder than some which makes it all the more fun. Once again Puzzlewarehouse delivered it promptly.
