Stay Updated On What's New In The Puzzle World
I’ve always enjoyed receiving cards around the holidays and reading up on the activities of my friends and family. Although the practice seems to be getting less common as the years go by, I still have a fondness for the imagery of Christmas cards and of course the seasonal stamps that go with them. Perhaps I’m not alone in this, as holiday stamps are a regular theme in puzzles...CONTINUE READING

It’s that time of year!! The ambassadors do a lot of puzzles and trying to come up with our favorites of the year is tricky. I, myself, have done over 250 puzzles alone just this year, so trying to decide which few are my faves is near impossible. I have about 50 others that stood out to me, and I know I’m not alone when saying, there are so many good puzzle images and brands out there it’s hard to choose favorites. BUT we did come up with our top ones of the year. Here is a list of 20 puzzles, from a bunch of our ambassadors. I hope you find this list helpful and I’d LOVE to know which were some of your favorite puzzles from the year! Let me know in the comments...CONTINUE READING

48% of adults in the US profess to enjoy jigsaw puzzles, while 78% say they read for pleasure. I would love to know what the percentage is that relish both. I’m convinced that the crossover would be high! I myself often listen to an audio book while I puzzle, and when I’m done puzzling at night, I usually read an actual book to lull my wide awake puzzle brain into sleep. The hypnotic effect of my eyes moving back and forth on the page works better than melatonin!...CONTINUE READING

If you love puzzling for the artwork, I need to share with you this hidden gem within Puzzle Warehouse. Goodway Puzzles... you’ve probably seen this brand around on the Puzzle Warehouse website. When I first find a brand I’m interested in, I always do a little research and could never find much about the brand. Many of their images have caught my interest, but to be honest, I didn’t make a purchase until after my conversation with Susan Way. If you're not familiar, Susan is one of the owners of Puzzle Warehouse, and I had the pleasure of meeting her in person at the National Jigsaw Puzzle Championships earlier this year. As a PW ambassador, I was excited to finally meet her, especially after having exchanged emails with her for the past couple of years...CONTINUE READING

Here we are in December. Thanksgiving was a week ago, so the food has had a chance to settle and the leftovers are pretty much gone. In my home that means it’s time to haul the Christmas boxes out of storage, decorate the house, and set up a tree. Then, with all that done, it’s time to start my Christmas puzzles!...CONTINUE READING

A few years ago, I was lucky enough to travel to Texas for an impromptu reunion of two of my very best veterinary friends. We all met here in Ohio when we worked at the same practice, but both of them ended up moving away around the same time. Talk about devastating! One moved to Idaho where she started her own practice, and the other moved back to Texas to be closer to her family. Ohio, Idaho and Texas: not the easiest locations for us to get to see each other! While we were visiting in Texas, we got to experience the Fort Worth stockyards- one of the coolest things I’ve gotten to see in a long time! I can’t tell you how much all three of us enjoyed getting to see those gorgeous Longhorns up close...CONTINUE READING

As I wrap up my second year of Ambassadorialness, I’m realizing that I have a lot to be thankful for both in my real life and my puzzling life (as if they can be separated!). And much like a Tofurky and lentil Thanksgiving feast, I’d like to share these things with you. So, let’s tuck in.
First off, I’m thankful that my food does not have faces...CONTINUE READING

Hi puzzle lovers! It’s me, Alyssa. I took some time away from blogging but I am back with a VERY special post.
I first stumbled upon Genius Games puzzles a few years ago. I really admired the initial collection of Dr Livingston Anatomy puzzles, which included anatomy of the abdomen, chest (Thorax) and head...CONTINUE READING

It’s a crisp autumn morning as I’m writing this blog, and we’ve just had Daylight Saving Time, which means we’ve stolen an extra hour but the nights will be darker earlier. It’s always a bit of a bittersweet feeling around this time, because the midday sun is really the only chance for a bit of warmth outside (at least here in the Northeast) and soon enough the hectic holidays will be upon us....CONTINUE READING
