Germany has many castles and some, like Neuschwanstein are recognized around the world. But there are also some impressive castles that are lesser known. Perched high on the hill over the Moselle River in the picturesque town of Cochem is the beautiful Reichsburg Cochem Castle. Most estimate that the castle was originally built for the palatinate count Ezzo around the year 1,000 AD. It was blown up and burned in 1689. It laid in ruins for 200 years until it was bought and restored by a businessman in 1868 when it was fashionable for the wealthy to buy ruins and turn them into summer homes. This image was taken using long exposure so the colors are dark and rich. The castle and town will help with the construction of the puzzle. There is nice contrast between the fall trees and the green of the hill going up to the castle. The sunset helps with piece location for the sky and the reflection of the town and the trees on the water help break up that difficult section. The completed image is a spectacular view of a beautiful castle in Germany with rich colors. Clementoni puzzles are crafted in Italy using premium quality materials to enhance the carefully selected imagery featured on each puzzle. All Clementoni puzzles are precisely cut to ensure a perfect interlocking fit and a superior finished product. The finished size of the puzzle is 27.2" x 19.7".
