How Long Does a 750 Piece Puzzle Take?
Somewhere between the quick satisfaction of a 500-piece puzzle and the extended challenge of a 1000-piece lies the humble 750. It's a sweet spot for many puzzlers—enough pieces to stay interesting, but not so many that it takes up your table for days. In this blog I'll show some of our most popular puzzles in this piece count. So, how long should a 750 piece puzzle take?
For most puzzlers, a 750 piece puzzle takes anywhere from 2.5 to 5 hours to complete. But that’s just a ballpark. Your actual time will depend on a few key factors:
- Image complexity: Is it a brightly colored collage or a moody, single-tone landscape? The more defined sections and color variation there is, the easier it’ll be to solve.
- Piece cut: A ribbon cut puzzle with uniform rows may go faster than one with a random cut or uniquely shaped pieces.
- Your puzzling style: Are you focused and working solo, or casually chatting with friends and sipping something warm?

Speed Puzzling vs. Relaxed Pacing
As speed puzzling continues to grow in popularity, it’s easy to feel like everyone is racing the clock. And sure, it's fun to challenge yourself—but puzzling doesn’t have to be fast to be satisfying.
Whether you're solving with a timer, taking breaks to hang out with your cats, or sipping a coffee between sections, there’s no wrong way to do it. Personally, I’ve done 750s in just under 2 hours during practice, but if I’m in relax mode, it might stretch over a couple evenings—and that’s totally fine too.

Why 750 Pieces?
750 piece puzzles are a great option if you’re looking for something in between the most common sizes. They’re a favorite for people who want a little more challenge than a 500 but don’t quite want to commit to the time or space a 1000 piece puzzle might require. They’re also a great intro for someone who wants to level up their puzzle skills without jumping in at the deep end.

Personally, I think 750s are an underrated piece count. I wish more brands offered them! It’s that perfect middle ground—when you want something just a bit more involved than a 500-piece puzzle, but don’t want a multi-day time commitment. It still feels like an accomplishment, but doesn’t take over your whole weekend or your entire table.
And yes, we have plenty of 750 piece jigsaw puzzles at Puzzle Warehouse if you want to give one a try.

Final Thoughts
So, how long does a 750 piece puzzle take? Anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days—it all depends on your pace and your puzzle. Whether you're speed solving or slow sipping, what matters most is that you're enjoying the process.
At the end of the day, there's no timer needed to call it a win.
