The Buddha Amida sits at the center of the Taima Mandala, in a palace with a golden pond. Dancers and musicians surround him. Amida is the central figure in Pure Land Buddhism. Those being born into the Pure Land emerge from lotus buds growing up through the water of the pond, as shown in the foreground of this 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle.

Very challenging!
The picture itself is delightful as we discover all the little details while putting it together. We just finished a Eurographics Puzzle and in comparison, it was average (at best) quality. Not terrible though and if we had just finished a cheap puzzle we may have felt differently.
This is spectacular art and perfect for contemplative puzzling.

This puzzle was extremely challenging because of the unfamiliar characters and style, the minuscule tableaux and variety of colors and patterns.
Really enjoyed this puzzle--each piece was gorgeous and interesting.
