The Overseer - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle by SunsOut

I chose this puzzle for the shape and picture. I thought it would be great fun to do. Unfortunately, I spent almost as much time gluing tabs, and other parts of the pieces, together as I did putting the puzzle together. About every 5th piece picked up was damaged in some way. Either needed gluing or was warped, cracked in the middle, bent, picture scuffed or bubbled, etc. I can only assume that either the recycled paper was not glued together well and/or the cutting tool was not sharp enough to handle the thickness. I also ordered the lion puzzle. I haven't done it yet but did a quick check of the pieces. They are much thinner, but I did still find a few damaged pieces in a couple of handfuls. I usually save the shaped puzzles to do with my grandchildren when they get older. I will not be saving these. Don't waste you time or money.

The puzzle piece thickness felt a little thin for this one. Plus, I'm not a fan of puzzles that essentially copy and paste elements in different sizes and angles, and this one does have some of that. The image on the box had much less clarity than the puzzle pieces themselves, which also made placement difficult. The mane section is a challenge!

It was a real challenge putting it together. Beautiful colors. I found the cardboard pieces quite flimsy. Took me two weeks to finish putting it together.

Just love it. We just started it and are amazed at the different pieces and the beautiful colors. Can't wait to see it finished
