Albert Bierstadt is best known for his large, grandiose paintings of the American West. Born in Germany, he and his family moved to Massachusetts when he was a child. As a young man he returned to Europe and learned his craft in the Alps of Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. Back in the United States, he traveled on westward expeditions and created field studies; later in the studio he applied his impressive technical expertise to landscapes. His paintings of the Rocky Mountains and Yosemite Valley were immensely popular in the 1860s and 1870s, as they offered a romanticized vision of America’s wilderness as the Promised Land.

This is a lovely 1000 piece puzzle, colors are quite muted so you need good light, but the pieces all fit perfectly
I found this one to be very challenging, so much so that I turned it over to my husband to finish. I should have known that with so many similar colors it would be difficult to complete. So, if you like a challenge that will result in a beautiful completed piece, this puzzle is for you!
This was a family gift. They seemed very pleased. The tradition is to start a new puzzle every New Year's eve.
Good quality Puzzles
This is a tough one, but very satisfying as it comes together. And a beautiful piece of artwork.
Very challenging! Lots of "false fits" for look-alike pieces. Especially satisfying to have completed this one!
Great puzzle. All puzzles we have ordered have been excellent quality.
I am real pleased with Puzzle Warehouse and have recommended them to others. They had a nice selection and shipped them rapidly. We like the better quality puzzles and have bought many of the "Cobble Hill" variety which we love. We also have one "Pomegrnate" variety but have not done that yet so we can't speak to the quality but internet websites are promising. With Covid-19 puzzles are in great demand and some varieties Puzzle Warehouse normally caries were not available. We are anxious to attempt some of the White Mountain puzzles which seem to be out of stock. We plan to purchase more puzzles from the Warehouse in the future.
