Crisp Point Light started shining its life saving light over the chilly waters of Lake Superior in 1904. The light was decommissioned in 1993. It is now maintained by the Crisp Point Lighthouse Historical Society. There is a visitor center on the grounds that seasonally offers bathrooms, a gift shop, and a small museum to the hearty souls that take the long, rough dirt road to the the lighthouse.
