1000 Pieces - Finished size: 29" x 20". After years of rubbing elbows with the artistic avant-garde of Montparnasse, Diego Rivera (Mexican, 1886–1957) returned to Mexico soon after a very different encounter with the Renaissance masters Giotto and Michelangelo. His commitment to Mexico’s recently completed revolution and his new interest in fresco painting led Rivera to participate in a program of public works, murals on broad expanses of wall that anyone could visit, painted in a straightforward style indebted to pre-Columbian and folk art.
Thoughtfully conceived and engagingly intricate, Pomegranate's 1000-piece interlocking jigsaw puzzles combine superb color reproduction, stunning and unusual images, and heirloom-quality construction to delight generations of puzzle solvers.
Husband is from Detroit so I gave him this one for Christmas. We had fun doing it but it was surprisingly hard.
Difficult but rewarding puzzle
Where to start. It was fun, it was hard. It took us awhile; it is such an exquisite puzzle you look forward to the finished product but the challenge was addictive. Highly recommend to puzzle addicts!
Unique subject matter and such great pieces. Very heavy duty and looks amazing.
I loved this puzzle. Complex and detailed, I never got tired looking at the image.
A good choice of present when you normally get items you don´t want or have lots of.
Pomegrante makes great puzzles: matte surface, lovely graphics, and well cut tight fitting pieces. This was fairly challenging because of the balanced nature of the scene (grey tanks on both sides) but it came together in a few days and was highly enjoyable.
