Jigsaw puzzles by Pomegranate! 1000 Pieces! The acclaimed author-artist Edward Gorey had a lifelong interest in the theater. His participation in the Broadway production of Dracula garnered three Tony Award nominations, and he wrote and produced engaging and quirky plays that appeared both on and off Broadway and on Cape Cod. As a world-class balletomane, Gorey (1925–2000) was known for having attended most of the performances of the New York City Ballet between 1957 and 1983—the years of George Balanchine’s reign as the company’s choreographer and artistic director.
The untitled, gleefully chaotic work reproduced in this puzzle might be seen as Gorey’s celebration of the theater, which brought him great pleasure and inspiration.
Thoughtfully conceived and engagingly intricate, Pomegranate's 1000-piece interlocking jigsaw puzzles combine superb color reproduction, stunning and unusual images, and heirloom-quality construction to delight generations of puzzle solvers. Finished size 20" x 27".

This puzzle was not as hard as I thought it would be, but still challenging
Great fun to assemble! The pieces lock nicely, and completed segments are easy to move!
Very nice image, fun to put together. How we love all those Edward Gorey details! Another great Pomegranate product 👌✨👍
I have never seen an Edward Gorey puzzle and was so excited to find not one, but two at Puzzle Warehouse
High-quality puzzle. Nice chunky pieces. A lot of fun to look at when completed but takes very little time to assemble.
Edward Gorey fans will love this puzzle. Whimsical and creepy; a collector's dream. Excellent quality and a real challenge.
I really enjoy the quirky Edward Gorey images. Fun to assemble!
Pomegranate's puzzle quality is very good. Their pieces are very thick and the fit is very tight. You have to push pieces down to have them fit. This was never a problem because you never think a piece goes where it doesn't. Because of the tight fit I had to wrestle some pieces apart when I was taking it down, and at least once the image began to lift off the cardboard backing. It wasn't serious, though, and didn't happen often enough to be a problem. I don't typically buy Pomegranate unless I love the image, and I love this image which is the reason I recommend it.
Any Gorey puzzle is a treat to do. This is a fun and interesting
great looking puzzle. whole famiiy had a hand in completing it. cats and curtains oh my!
This is my second Edward Gorey puzzle to complete. They are so much fun to look at, as you work. I, too, hope that more of his images become 1000 piece puzzles.
Love Pomegranate Puzzles!! Love Edward Gorey graphics!! This looks likes a silly Broadway show, but it was super fun trying to figure it out. We hope more of Gorey's illustrations will find their way into a puzzle box soon.
