Heidi Taillefer: Silkworm - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle by Pomegranate

This was my first Pomegranate puzzle and I'm very impressed. The pieces are such high quality they almost feel like wood and interlock perfectly. It was a challenging puzzle and I look forward to assembling it many times :)

Superior quality. The pieces fit very snugly, the edges of the pieces are sharp making for smaller lines in the completed puzzle unlike, say, Ravensburger which are good puzzles but with broad lines. The style is rectilinear, all pieces are four-sided and meet at the corners. But unlike several other makers, they are a mixture of "innies and outies" which helps in assembly. The printing is high resolution with a fine matte finish making it easier to assemble under overhead lighting. The combination of composition and piece design made this puzzle fun and not too difficult to assemble. It'll be one of the few I choose to keep to maybe reassemble again. Unlike a couple recent puzzles I was able, and motivated, to complete this one without the picture.
