David Klein (b. 1918) is famous for his Trans World Airlines (TWA) advertisements from the 1960s. These travel posters were bright, fun, and abstract--fitting in perfectly with the art style of the period. The posters are now iconic and the style has been copied many times over for similar projects. Before creating these posters, Klein was a watercolorist and an illustrator for Broadway shows.
