Jane Maday worked as a scientific illustrator for the University of Florida at the young age of 14. After graduating college, she worked for Hallmark illustrating the famous greeting cards. Her scientific past adds a touch of realism to her artwork, although she prefers more whimsical work than biological or commercial. Her work has graced 25 children’s books, collector’s plates, ornaments, garden flags, and jigsaw puzzles, and much, much more.
