Sand Point Lighthouse sits on the shore of Lake Michigan in Escanaba. It was built in 1867 and began shining its guiding light in 1868. The lighthouse is not used for navigational purposes anymore. The Delta County Historical Society maintains the buildings and grounds. The lighthouse now houses a museum.
