Rainbow Tie-dye - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle by Serious Puzzles

The image is beautiful and takes me back sixty years to my hippy days, going to concerts with Canned Heat, Little Feat, the Dead, and others. But I found the puzzle extremely irritating. This should have been a relatively easy puzzle. The level of difficulty should not be based on the poor cutting and crappy paperboard used. Serious Puzzles should be concentrating more on their manufacturing standards. As with many modern puzzle producers, the focus is on the image, but I have been doing puzzles for five-plus decades, and the most important thing to a solver is to know that when pieces go together, it is a lock. There should be no question that the meld is correct. Having a loosey-goosey fitting is maddening and immediately makes me loathe and avoid the maker. If Serious Puzzle is truly serious about their business, they need to understand the end-users needs. Otherwise, it's just bad form,.
