Pompeian ornament by Owen Jones (British, 1809–1874)
From The Grammar of Ornament
Gathered here in one image is a wealth of Pompeian mosaic pavement designs. Of this Greek-inspired ornamentation, architect and design theorist Owen Jones remarked that the “neutral character of the colours enables them to be so violently juxtaposed without discord.”
Thoughtfully conceived and engagingly intricate, our 500-piece jigsaw puzzles combine superb color reproduction, stunning and unusual images, and sturdy construction to delight generations of novice and veteran puzzleworkers.

My 10 yo loved this puzzle. It was easier than we thought. The pieces were nice feeling and the pattern was fun.
One of my favorites.
I love this one because it had such a nice meditative quality about it. Time just flew by with this puzzle.
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
Pomegranate puzzles have thick pieces that fit together well. This was fun to do because of the many different sections that you could sort by color and design.
Appears simple. Don't be fooled.
Puzzle even prettier than box.
I love geometric design so this one was great fun. Pomegranate puzzles also include the poster to help orient the design placement
I also enjoyed dloing this puzzle. It is easier to do than it looks. I did one pattern at a time.
Not crazy-hard, but challenging. Contains a good assortment of classical design motifs. Nice to look at while solving and after.
Intriguing patterns. Excellent quality of materials.
Fun puzzle! Only complaint is that some of the edge pieces are so close to being identical, that it's easy to place them in the wrong spot. And sometimes they're too tight, making it hard to take them apart. But overall, this is a great puzzle; look forward to doing it again!
This would be much harder at 1000 pieces. The separate designs are easily built away from the puzzle and added in, so it would be a good puzzle for a group.
This Pomegranate has become a treasured puzzle for me. The design is grand and exquisite and I love assembling puzzles that have geometric designs like this. The piece quality was phenomenal. It was just perfect in a 500 pc count. I will do this puzzle over and over. I highly recommend.
