I bought this puzzle because I really love Joseph Hautman’s paintings.The colors are rich as shown. There is a folded poster of the picture inside the box that I find to be very useful as I put the puzzle together. As is true of the several Buffalo Games puzzles that I have, this one has sturdy, thick pieces that are grid-cut and fit snugly. The pieces are also medium-large in size, being about 1 ¼” in diameter and easy to handle. There is little dust and the pieces were cleanly separated. With only 300 pieces, it is quick to assemble, but still fun—except I’d prefer less tree foliage to deal with. I’ve assembled it several times, when I have a long evening and am in the mood to put an entire puzzle together in one sitting. Unfortunately, as is true of the several Buffalo Games puzzles that I have, the lid seemed to be hot-glued to the sides of the box, which resulted in my damaging the brand new box as I opened it for the first time. This is very sad to me! Their boxes are small and sturdy. Buffalo Games is my favorite puzzle company, since I love sturdy, grid-cut pieces that fit together snugly. I just very much wish they had more images that I like—especially in my favorite 500-piece size!
The pieces are smaller than I expected from a Large Piece puzzle. The box is hard to open; it got torn. The picture is gorgeous in detail.
This is a great puzzle. We left it up until the next day, but then retired it for the next one!
