Definitely out of my league

My puzzle had a slightly differnt picture, maybe they changed it for a new edition? The squiggly lines are sometimes hard to figure out, but all the various plant and animal life keeps up your interest.

Since pandemic started and my kids have been home more we have been puzzling more. I have deeply appreciated this puzzle. My tween and I have put it together probably 6 times over the past 18 months. The cut quality has held up on repeated use. The shapes are good. The design is helpful, it allows for me to sort by color and give her one "branch" and let her assemble it, making a 1000 piece puzzle accessible to someone who might not otherwise try it. The content is stellar, allowing for small conversation about what it means to be a vertebrate or not. We have about 6 of these Eurographic science puzzles and like them all (I'm ordering another handful tonight - we have assembled them each many times and want more content).

Even though I have about 15 Puzzle Warehouse puzzles (mostly Pomegranate), this was my first experience with a Eurographics puzzle and I will have to admit I was more than pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent puzzle, even though it is slightly different in the cut or shape of the pieces (which in a sense made it easier to assemble). 1) There are basically only 3 shapes of pieces - puzzlers will know what I am talking about here: - the Honda or H-shaped piece - 2 holes and 2 knobs - there are no traditional walking man pieces - but a funny shaped 3-holes & 1 knob piece instead - there is also a funny 3-knobs and 1 hole interlocking piece for the above - with a "W" or "M" shaped end - and a few double-ended of the above, but not enough to even consider or count But the thing I want to emphasize here is that the pieces fit together perfectly - particularly the 2 funny pieces I mentioned above (you will know what I am talking about when you see them). 2) I am a shape person as opposed to a matching color or picture person - but even though all of the pieces are basically 3 shapes, the puzzle was easy to assemble. As for this particularly puzzle, there is a lot of white - but the printing of the text, although small is still very readable and helps with the assembly. I will buy more of these Eurographics puzzles, but wish the designs were more to my liking.

I loved this puzzle - it was educational and relatively easy to put together. The quality of the pieces was excellent: never seconded guessed where they fit in one place or the other. Thank you!
