Some of the black pieces are brownish, some are blueish, so it's not impossible, and there is a little trick with the shapes of the pieces that is also helpful. It's a high quality puzzle and interesting to work on.
Lots of lines that are reasonably easy to line up until you get to the all black areas. Saving black pieces until last makes it easier. Any 1,000 piece puzzle takes time I would say this one took me an average amount of time for 1,000 pieces. I enjoyed this one.

This was a tough one. The lady only took a few days to do but the dark background was difficult since all pieces were the same shape. But with patience it was completed.
You can appreciate Vermeer's work while doing this puzzle. The figure went together easily, and we thought it wouldn't take us that long to complete the puzzle. Wrong! Eurographic puzzles only use one shape for all their pieces. The background was so subtly shaded it would take us hours to find a handful of pieces; when we came back to it the next day, we wound up taking out half of what we had done the previous day! We persevered and completed it, but I'll think twice about the subject matter if we buy another Eurographic puzzle. A challenge, for sure.

Beautiful puzzle to unfold before your eyes. :-) The Girl is fairly easy. The surround is difficult having to rely mainly on shapes. This will grace my wall soon.:-)
I work large puzzles with my grown daughter. After we remove the pieces from the box, we put the box away and do not look at the picture again. This makes the puzzles more challenging, but we have gotten quite good at it. Our puzzle-working friends cannot believe we work puzzles like that.The mini puzzles and small puzzles I work by myself and also do it without looking at the picture.
The non black pieces were easy enough. But the dead space pieces were too difficult for my patience!
This puzzle was difficult because the pieces are all cut very similarly and there is a lot of black around the figure. We enjoyed the puzzle though and enjoy the richness of the colors and overall quality.

I’m fairly new to the world of puzzles and thought I should try this one after I did a few 500 piece ones and got hooked. This was such a challenge but so worth it!!! It’s so beautiful you really get to enjoy all the little details while you solve it. My favorite puzzle I’ve done yet! 10/10
The puzzle is daunting for a novice as myself but I am going to be persistent and see this through. It is interesting to note that many years ago I read the book of the same title and then 2 weeks ago, before I placed my order I began reading a second time. About ten pages into the book I thought I might enjoy starting a puzzle as I am newly retired. Funny....i happened upon your site and the first puzzle that came up was Girl with a pearl earring. It was fate and for that I will finish this beautiful puzzle and frame it for posterity.
I never noticed all of the detail and color variance in this painting until I started this puzzle. Not only was it a challenging puzzle, but it help me appreciate the art piece more as well. The puzzle itself is challenging due to the oddly shaped pieces making it hard to recognize patterns or create an orderly system to test connections. Very enjoyable.
