Deep in eastern Germany, in the heart of Saxony, lies Rakotz Bridge (Rakotzbrücke), about 75 miles northeast of Dresden, one of the many "Devil's Bridges in Europe. Many of these bridges were built of masonry in medieval times and it was believed that they were either so spectacular or so challenging that only the devil could have built something like this. Each bridge has its own tale of its creation. Rakotz Bridge was indeed built by cleaver human hands in 1860 in the same style as other Devil's Bridges including the jagged, rocky spires on the ends and the pointed rocks that are framed by the bridge in the lake. Normally such images make for poor puzzles but this is a peaceful fall image with great lighting and vivid colors of the season. The puzzle starts with the edge pieces and then the bridge pieces are a bit easier to identify because of their neutral color and they put some context into the other pieces of the trees, lake and shore. The most difficult part is the water, as it often is, but the puzzler is given help on this with the reflection of the colorful trees and the bridge that appear a little blurred on the pieces. A small piece of sky occupies the top of the image but has some sunlight and clouds to help you along. No stress with this puzzle as it is part of the Peace Puzzle collection so it is meant to be a relaxing activity to be savoured and enjoyed piece by piece.Clementoni puzzles are crafted in Italy using premium quality materials to enhance the carefully selected imagery featured on each puzzle.
