This is an unusual particularly for Clementoni. This image, created by digital matte artist, Sarel Theron, brings pirates to life as they would be in the movies. Lots of action in this puzzle with the pirate ship heading stormy seas to the island castle. While the image is dark, there are lots of light changes and lines of the churning ocean, the island and castle and the ship to help keep this puzzle evolving as it is being built.

Really unique puzzle but is a little expensive for a 1500 pieces. Everything but the dark clouds went together pretty easy, the ocean was easier than the clouds. Was a great and fun challenge.
This puzzle is one of my favorites because its challenging. During the course of assembling, I had to color separate pieces several times due to the subtle hue changes in the sky, sea, and mountain fortress. The ship colors are vibrant and the finished puzzle looks outstanding. It deserved framing, but i always break them down to enjoy in the future. The pieces themselves are of high quality cardboard with several cut variations (which helps with sea and sky).
