My college-aged son and I worked on this puzzle together. It took a careful eye and a few days! All that gold could be confusing but there was enough differentiation in tones that eventually one could figure out where most of the pieces belong. Pieces are small, but crisply made, so for the most part you know if they fit where you are putting them. Twice we had a piece in the wrong spot for a while. Klimt's patterning was lovely to look at, and the image of his brushstrokes were useful for matching pieces. We will surely re-do this puzzle sometime; it was a feast for the eyes and a reasonable challenge.

This is the hardest puzzle I have ever done. I could only work on it at certain times of day in certain areas (I had it on cardboard to move it around) because the pieces look different in different lighting due to their metallic sheen. I almost gave up several times, but I am so glad I didn't. It was the most beautiful puzzle I've ever seen once it was complete.
