With April being Earth Month, I started thinking about puzzling and wondered how I could make it a more eco-conscious hobby. The good news is that many brands have already recognized the importance of using sustainable materials for both their puzzles and their packaging. Some even partner with global organizations dedicated to making our planet healthy. Read on to learn what I discovered! CONTINUE READING

This isn’t your average artist review, this is a love song to one the most wonderful and prolific puzzle artists out there, Aimee Stewart. You can find ample factoids and data points about Aimee in plenty of other interviews and reviews, including here on Puzzle Warehouse Jigsaw Junkies Blog, or on her own website, https://aimeestewart.com. This here isn’t that, but is the more emotional side, bringing all the joy, love, and inspiration to the surface. CONTINUE READING

Good morning my Jigsaw Junkies! Today, I’m bringing you a puzzle review for a US based and manufactured, family owned and run, jigsaw puzzle company: Heritage puzzles. I chose to do the 1000 piece puzzle Join Us by Eileen Seitz, and I absolutely loved it! If I said Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, I’m not sure if many people would know what it looks like or where it’s located. What better month than April, with its kick-off day being April Fool’s Day – to host National Humor Month?  According to the National Humor Month website the idea “was conceived to heighten public awareness of the therapeutic value of humor. As we approach the mid-year stretch and we’re short on puzzle options to coordinate with holidays for a bit, I’m here to tell you don’t worry – every day is a holiday! And you want to buy them a puzzle for the next gift giving situation (5 stars, highly recommend), but you’re not sure where to start. Before we go any further, I’ll just put your mind at ease right now and answer the question that is on every gift giver’s mind. No, you can never get ‘too many’ puzzles for your jigsaw puzzle lover and no, they will never ‘get tired’ of receiving a puzzle as a gift. In fact, they will be absolutely delighted if you start celebrating International Jigsaw Puzzle Day every year by sending them a puzzle. CONTINUE READING

In the last few months I’ve felt myself shift away from being a new puzzler to a more experienced puzzler.  I don’t think there’s a timeline as such for when this happens, but I feel like I can confidently choose my puzzles with regards to the experience I want to have.  If you happen to follow me on Instagram though, you’ll know for a fact I still slip up on a semi regular basis and the “relaxing and easy” puzzle often turns into a big joke, because the easiest part is opening the box. I always love to get holiday themed puzzles that are specific to each holiday. So with Easter on the way, I was on the hunt for the perfect puzzle. When I came across the 1000 piece Easter Globe by SunsOut, I knew it was the one. I thoroughly enjoy shaped puzzles and the extra challenge they can sometimes present. CONTINUE READING
